Zippy’s is a beloved, Hawai’i eatery that was founded more than 50 years ago. Beginning on South King St in urban Honolulu, they have now expanded to 22 locations across O’ahu, Maui, and Hawai’i Island!
This casual, full-service eatery is known for serving the comfort foods of Hawai’i, like their signature Zip Pack and Chili. For many local families in Hawai’i, Zippy’s is a staple that brings the feeling of comfort and nostalgia together in a family-friendly atmosphere.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Zippy's, we asked our Customer Service Assistant, Sela, to answer a few questions about why Zippy’s is so special!
Sela was born and raised on the island of O’ahu, and has many fond memories grabbing Zippy’s after a day at the beach or a softball game with her friends…checkout some of her answers to these questions and learn why we’re so stoked about this collaboration!
What is it about Zippy’s that makes it such a staple in Hawai’i?
Zippy’s is just one of those places that everyone goes to for every occasion - whether it’s a party, or an after beach/surf stop for grinds. It’s comfort local food and you can never go wrong with a dish from Zippy’s.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Zippy’s?
Honestly the first thing I think of is just how much food can bring people together. I think of the many memories that have been made through either going to Zippy’s or just someone bringing it to a potluck. I also think of the fried chicken LOL!
What’s your favorite memory at Zippy’s?
My favorite memory at Zippy’s has to be all the times that me, my softball sisters, and our parents used to go to Zippy’s after almost every practice and just eat. Myself and one of my softball sisters used to always order our meals and then switch. I’d order the saimin and she’d order the club sandwich, and we would switch plates halfway through, just being kids and having fun!
What’s your favorite thing on the menu at Zippy’s?
My hands down favorite thing from Zippy's is the Korean fried chicken!
